Meet Champ

Name: Champ

Sex: Male

Age: 4 months

Breed: Aussie mix

Coat: Merle with black and tan

Rambunctious, friendly, cuddly. Champ is a lively pup who loves to run around! He is a pro at tug-of-war and likes to share some snuggles and kisses. Champ would be a great addition to an active family that can match his enthusiasm and provide the playtime he craves. Having been fostered alongside a litter of kittens, he’s open to sharing his space with a dog-savvy cat who enjoys playtime too.

About Adoption at ARF

Animals available for adoption at Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) have been examined by a vet, are up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines, and have been spayed or neutered.

First, submit an adoption application. It’s ok if you don’t have a specific cat or dog in mind. Your visit to ARF will be arranged after an adoption coordinator reviews your application.

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will reach out to schedule your visit. At the visit, if you decide to move forward with the adoption, you will sign the adoption paperwork, pay the adoption fee (in cash), and finally, take home your new furry friend.

Featured Adoptable Pets

Huggzy (5)

Sweet and goofy Huggzy is a total mush and the perfect size for a hug! He loves to have his chin scratched and will share his super loud purr motor with you. He is affectionate and playful and we LOVE his little nose freckle. Huggzy is 4 years old and would like to be the only kitty in your home. Huggzy has a heart condition which needs daily medication and an echocardiogram twice a year. But his condition doesn’t affect his friendly-nature and his BIG purrs.

Ming image

Ming is a 2-year-old Basenji mix. He is sweet and playful, though a little shy at first. He thinks he’s small enough to be a lap dog, and will hop onto your lap and curl up into a little ball! If he fits, he sits! Ming could be a match for a home with a mild mannered dog, but as always a meet and greet is required.

Animal Rescue Foundation, also commonly known as ARF, is a Federal 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill, 100% volunteer animal rescue located in Beacon, NY. Since 1986, we’ve rescued, rehabilitated, sheltered, and found loving homes for thousands of cats and dogs.
